Ergo Press: Publishing for Northumberland
Ergo Press is an independent publishing house based in rural Northumberland. It was established in January 2006 by Julia Grint to produce books of fine quality and originality.
Many of our books are printed by a local printer and our design work and illustrations are all provided by local artists - of which Northumberland has a rich supply. We are committed to establishing a thriving community of like-minded, creative people working towards a thoughtful and aesthetic goal.
Our aim is to provide a service to authors and readers alike. Whilst we do not intend to limit our horizons, we do expect to have a bias towards northern writers and subjects. Our list so far demonstrates that we have broad publishing interests. We have the further aim of encouraging both local people and visitors to explore the county; many of our books take the reader to little known areas of great beauty and interest, away from the madding crowd. We intend to encourage enlightened and educated visits to our National Park and other areas of Northumberland, taking into account its history, its culture and its landscape.
We also provide a service for those wishing to publish their own work or to publish family diaries, photographic records etc: we will set text, design covers and print books as requested.
